Warwickshire County Council launches Living in Warwickshire Survey

WCC has launched the Living in Warwickshire survey, which gives Warwickshire residents the chance to have their say on a range of public services within Warwickshire. The survey can be completed online at warwickshire.gov.uk/survey

This is an opportunity for people to have their say on what living in Warwickshire is really like. The research will gather people’s views on a variety of topics including health and wellbeing, community safety, local neighbourhoods, transport, and public service provision.
Click the video below to find out what people love about living in Warwickshire.

Results from the survey will highlight key issues experienced by people on a day-to-day basis, including information on how they live, needs and challenges. This will inform council work programmes to address these local needs and shape services for the future.

The survey can be completed online only, all respondents must be aged over 18 years old and will have the opportunity to enter a prize draw to a win a Warwick Castle Family Annual Pass (for four people), a further 10 pairs of tickets to Warwick Castle will also be awarded.
The survey will close on Tuesday 31 May, to complete the survey today, visit: warwickshire.gov.uk/survey

Final few days to comment to the revised Warwick District Local Plan

The public consultation on the revised Warwick District Council Local Plan is  live, but you need to get your comments in by the deadline of 4.45pm on Friday 22 April 2016.

There is a lot to wade through, but the main changes affecting the south of the district are:

- 620 additional houses south of Harbury Lane (including former sewage works)
- 50 additional houses west of Europa Way, plus new school and other facilities
- East Whitnash/South of Sydenham contingency reservation of 500 homes
- Additional 75 homes off Golf Lane bridle path/behind Fieldgate Lane development
- 630 homes at Gallows Hill
- 30 homes at Seven Acre Close, Bishops Tachbrook

The Town Council has received details from Dave Barber, Planning Policy Manager for Warwick District Council, of the links to various web pages relating to information on the revised Local Plan. Please see below.

New Local Plan:  warwickdc.gov.uk/newlocalplan. This is the page that provides information on the latest situation with the Local Plan as a whole.  From here you can link to modifications consultation page, the examination pages and the evidence base page.

Consultation Documents relating to the proposed modifications: http://www.warwickdc.gov.uk/info/20410/new_local_plan/1066/proposed_modifications_-_feb_2016. This page provides links to the proposed modifications, including the modified maps.  It also sets out the methods that can be used to respond to the consultation, along with guidance notes

Evidence Base: http://warwickdc.gov.uk/info/20416/evidence_base. This page provides links to a whole range of studies and documents which have been used to underpin the Plan submitted in 2015 and the modifications now under consideration. There are three documents within this that I specifically referred to:
