Half Term Sportzone and Multi Sports Mania Activities

With half term upon us, the multi sports activities run by Warwick District Council are again taking place. These are:

a) the Multi Sports Mania All Day Sports Camp, on Wednesday 26th October, at St Nicholas Park Leisure Centre, Warwick

and

b) Sportzone, on Thursday 27th October, at Warwick Gates Community Centre.

The District Council provides these Sportzone sessions during the holidays, and keeps the cost low for residents, so that local youngsters can take part. Please support if you can, to ensure that these holiday activities continue to be provided.

Whitnash Community Forum, Tuesday 18th October

Please find below the agenda for next week's Whitnash Community Forum meeting, as well as the minutes of the last meeting.

The Whitnash Community Forum is at 6.30pm, on Tuesday 18th October, at Acre Close Community Hall, CV31 2ND.

Residents are encouraged to vote on local policing priorities in the town by going to the following website:

October Update from Warwickshire Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Seccombe

This month the Commissioner reveals the Draft Police and Crime Plan and seeks feedback from partners and the community, celebrates the expansion of the provision of police counter services through Warwickshire Direct and also the Purple Flag award for Leamington, while looking ahead to Hate Crime Awareness Week.

He also provides an update on his trip to St Paul's Cathedral in London to commemorate National Police Memorial Day.

Trading Standards update – doorstep rogue traders

Please be aware that there have been instances of rogue traders offering roofing services on the doorstep of homes in the Rugby area.

Residents are advised to beware of such people, and not to offer them work.
