Dementia Friends gives people an understanding of dementia, and the small things you can do to make a difference. Want to learn more about dementia and how you can support people living with dementia in your community? Then come along to a dementia awareness session - ‘Become a Dementia Friend’, on Wednesday 9th March, from 6pm to 7pm at the Lawns Care Home,  1 Gleave Road, Whitnash, CV31 2JS. Our aim in becoming a Dementia Friend is to make sure everyone suffering from dementia in Whitnash, and their families, get the support they really need,

This session will be followed by an open meeting, from 7pm to 7.30pm, to discuss the launch of the Forget-Me-Not Club, a new Dementia Café, which will also be at The Lawns, starting in April.  This will be a 6 month pilot scheme to support Whitnash people living with dementia, as well as their carers. The aim will be to offer company, fun, information, the chance to make new friends, to get some answers, and to find links to others who can help.

If you want to find out more, please call Paul Gaskell on 07736 882 456 or Jenny Heath on 07879 616 311.
