Getting and Staying Active in Later Life

Once again Whitnash Town Council are supporting this international event. Come and join in at Acre Close Community Hall on Thursday 29th September 2011 between 10:00am – 3:00pm.

This year’s theme is "Getting and staying active in later life".

The day’s events include information stands, demonstrations from Bluebells Florist & Revival Hair Dressers, food tasting sessions, mobility aids, a raffle and much, much more.

The event aimed at the over 50’s will see demonstrations, information stands and publicity regarding local events/activities to provide residents with a hub of information as well as a socialising opportunity.

Wenman Mobility, Age U.K., Oakhouse Foods, Neighbourhood Watch, Bluebells Florists and Brunswick Healthy Living Centre are among those that will be in attendance on the day, which will culminate in a tea dance at the Whitnash Sports and Social Club from 4.30p.m until 6.30p.m.

The day event is free to attend although there will be a small charge of £4 for the tea dance which will include entertainment and a light snack.
