Background

This site became a target for development when Warwick District Council included it in its Local Plan, which they adopted in September 2017. Whitnash Town Council did not supports its inclusion.

In the plan, site H03, as they refer to it, was earmarked for allowing 500 new homes to be built. This is just the first phase of potential plan that will lead to building as far south as Fieldgate Lane.

That document suggests that to provide suitable access to the site Campion school will be partially demolished to allow better access from Chesterton Drive.

In reality this is not in the current proposal, instead developers are having to use existing residential roads to gain access.
